The Plano Piranhas Swim Team is excited to announce tryouts for the summer season! Tryouts are on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up early. All new  swimmers must try out to be placed on the team. 

We look forward to seeing you at tryouts! The Piranhas Swim Team is a great way to get involved in the sport of swimming and to meet other swimmers who share your passion. We offer a variety of levels for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

The tryouts period has ended. You may send us a message on our homepage to set up a time to assess your swimmer. 

Grading Criteria and Level Requirements:

• Bronze Level:
  • Swim 50 yards continuously of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke
  • Swim 25 yards of butterfly
  • Comfortable in deep water
  • Passed Swim Level IV or demonstrate equivalent skill in tryout
• Silver Level:
  • Swim 100 yards continuously of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke
  • Swim 25 yards of butterfly
  • Comfortable in deep water
  • Passed Swim Level V or demonstrate equivalent skill in tryout
• Gold Level:
  • Swim 200 yards continuously of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke
  • Swim 50 yards continuously of butterfly
  • Comfortable in deep water
  • Passed Swim Level VI or demonstrate equivalent skill in tryout
