Winter/spring tryouts

Registration for winter spring December 2nd all new Piranhas Swimmers
Practices Will run, Monday evening to Thursday evening. Saturdays and Sundays
Monday: 6:40-7:25 Bronze 7:30- 8:15 Gold
Tuesday 6:40-7:25 silver 7:30- 8:15 Gold
Wednesday 6:40-7:25 Bronze 7:30- 8:15 Gold
Thursday 6:40-7:25 Silver 7:30- 8:15 Gold
Saturday: 9:30- 10:15 bronze 10:20-11:05 silver 11:05 -11:55
Sunday: 10:30- 11:15 bronze 11:20-12:05 silver 12:10 -1:05
All practices are 45 minutes long. Swimmers who have not previously participated in Plano Parks & Recreation swim lessons must try out before registering. Any swimmer between the ages of 7-18 who has taken Swim Level IV or above and is comfortable in deep water may register without a tryout for our off-season practices, but will still need to try out for the summer team. Please see TAAF eligibility information at the bottom of the receipt to confirm eligibility to compete.
To register for bronze level practices, the swimmer must be able to swim 50 yards continuously of freestyle and backstroke and must be comfortable in deep water. Bronze swimmers must have passed Swim Level IV (or demonstrate the equivalent skill level in a tryout), and knowledge of all four competitive strokes is highly recommended.
To register for silver level practices, the swimmer must be able to swim 100 yards continuously of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke, and must be comfortable in deep water. Silver swimmers must have passed Swim Level V (or demonstrate the equivalent skill level in a tryout), and knowledge of all four competitive strokes is required.
To register for gold level practices, the swimmer must be able to swim 200 yards continuously of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke, 50 yards continuously of butterfly, and must be comfortable in deep water. Gold swimmers must have passed Swim Level VI (or demonstrate the equivalent skill level in a tryout), and knowledge of all four competitive strokes is required.
