Piranhas - Summer 2026
The Plano Piranhas Swim Team offers off-season practices for swimmers ages 7 to 18. All swimmers practice together in the pool and are split into lanes based on skill level to focus on technique and development. All practices are 1 hour long.
Practice Schedule:
For the summer competition season, we will be practicing 5 days per week with swim meets each Saturday. We offer the following practice times:
Morning:
- 7:00am
- 8:00am
Evening:
- 4:00pm
- 5:00pm
- 6:00pm (FULL)
All practices follow TAAF off-season guidelines. Participation in meets is optional. The focus during off-season practices is on technique development, conditioning, and preparation for the competitive season.
Tryouts:
- May 18th @ 5:30
Season Start: June 1st
Registration for Winter/Spring
- Residents: December 6 at 8:00 am
- Non-residents: December 8 at 5:00 am
Cost for the season is $265 for residents of Plano, $269 for non-residents.

Swimmer Eligibility Requirements
- Swimmers who have not previously participated in Piranhas must attend tryouts before registration.
Lane Assignments by Skill Level
While all swimmers are in the same practice sessions, they will be assigned lanes based on skill to ensure appropriate instruction and development.
